Casa MB

Located in Sant Pere i Sant Pau neighbourhood, in Tarragona, the building sits on a plot with slope.

It is planned to be a project of rehabilitation, refurbishment and extension in order to adjust a new global project from a contemporary perspective, that could meet the needs and likings of the owners, which were far from those that conform the original building.

A different activity is set to each space. The day program is developed in the lower level and the night one, in the second level. Otherwise, the living room and the main room are set in the south part, meanwhile the north part takes in supporting spaces such as garage, pantry, bathrooms and guests bedrooms.

It is search to create an illuminated dwelling, with a united style and a minimalist decoration. To solve the illumination there is white as the predominant colour in the whole building, which strengthen a space sensation, as well as with large windows open to south which in the main floor permits the relation between the pool and the living room.

The united style is solved by the materials used. As an example there is Sant Vicenç stone as an outdoor pavement, which also recoat the north facade and is used as an interior pavement.
